建筑的语言是丰富多彩的，而每个建筑师最终都
会有自己最擅长的一种。事实上我们可能还处于呀呀
学语的阶段，但我们已经知道我们未来的语言该怎样
地打动人心。

    这是一个瞬息万变的时代，我们必须了解这个世
界每天的变化并迅速做出判断，但我们不必好高骛远，
因为我们已经知道有些东西是一直不变的。

    我们相信对基本元素的关注会有助于我们的成长，
那些关于光线、材料、细部、尺度、比例，那些空间
的要素与氛围的营造等等。日复一日的生活、旅行与
设计实践的体验也不断地修正并充实着我们早先对于
建筑学的认识，不断地会有新的体会产生，只是现在
许多体会还是彼此孤立的，它们还很难直接指导我们
的实践，但我们相信这种局面终会过去。

    我们意识到在这一领域的大多数知识都是外来的，
而今天我们又必须根据现有的条件来做设计，这意味
着我们最终的设计应是属于本土的，但同时也意味着
我们最终也必须以超越本土为目标。

    我们相信格罗皮乌斯早年说过的一句话，他认为
互相合作比个人竞争能做出更多的成果。这正是大舍
建筑工作室的由来。


      

Architecture speaks a variety of languages, and every architect will find the language he loves in the end. The architect will get the feel of the future language he will speak even when his design career is still in the cradle, and that feel firmly encourages him to go ahead.

This all-changing world demands a swift response from all of us, however we will not follow blindly, and we know and we believe there are things and values that are eternal.

We believe paying attention to the fundamental elements, i.e. light, materials, details, scales, elements of space, and the making of atmosphere. Our understanding towards architecture has been reshaped day by day, and new ideas emerge when we have learnt more from travel, design and daily life. We firmly believe that the new ideas will finally guide us through towards better designs although they are still in the early stage.

We realize that most of the knowledge of architectural design were imported, and we also realize that we have to base our design on what we have in China. This fact suggests that our design has the root in domestic culture but it will reach further as it grows.

Our belief also lies on one of the famous remarks from Walter Gropius, that to work together can produce more than what we can reach individually. It is exactly what we aim to achieve in atelier Deshaus.
